I remember going around this factory in Conventry with the Shrewsbury branch for the RTRA on a day trip. If I remember correctly it might have been a year B4 this video was made can't even remember the model being made at that time but I don't remember pc's , all hand wired .

Great film, love the narrator, doesn't have the foggiest what he's on about but reads the script with due authority, i couldn't help but think of a certain mr harry Enfield doing one of his sketches!.

Did you see the chap in final test thump the top of the set. We all did it in the workshop.

Yes, very interesting, an insight into a lost world of light engineering. The production line seems very advanced for 1960. The division of labour between men and women is now glaringly obvious in a way it simply wouldn't have been back then.
