Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
I’m sure I’ve asked this in the past, but is it possible for people who aren’t members of the BVWS to attend the event tomorrow ?

Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
Looking forward to it. Have repurposed a name badge from a previous job so people might know who I am. I have been quizzed by my OH about what I might buy and am hoping I don't get tempted. Ref posts #35 and #36 that was me asking the same question, and the answer is we can. I can see me joining.

Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
I've got some stuff I want to give away rather than bin it, is that a possibility?
Bit late I know and I'll look for a U404 valve. Last edited by defender; 7th Nov 2021 at 12:33 am. |

What you can do is put items on the bring & buy, asking for a donation to the BVWTV museum.

Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
Just a thank you to the organisers of the meet, picked up my Pye B18T a collection of caps from the BVWS stall and a scope. Worth the visit.

Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
Seconded. Thanks to everyone who makes this event possible and to all the forum members who came up and introduced themselves, it's nice to put a face to the avatar.
See you all again in April.

Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
I attended for a short time. To be fair I was only looking for one person Ed Dinning, who I met and passed over some valves. I should have taken note of some other names and now I got back remember seeing Kentode and AdrianH. Sorry I didn't say hi but as I say I was looking out for Ed. If anyone saw a bloke looking lost with a small cardboard box that was me.

Re: Golborne (Manchester) meet Sun 7th November
Thank you to everyone who supported the Bring & Buy, which raised £112.30 for the British Vintage Radio & Television Museum. I think this is a record for the Golborne B&B.

Yes, lets hope some of those are actually viable and raise something.

It was good to see old friends and familiar faces, And thankfully I got Dave home safe, after an hours mini drama broken down on the M6, but alls well etc. Came home with most of my wallet contents intact, but next time I may be tempted. Thanks to Mike B for the valuable advice on the boxes of ex BBC valves, and a satisfactory outcome there. Andy |

Sorry I couldn't make it this time, too much on this weekend & my wife hasn't been well recently.
