Default Decca style cable lacing

I worked at Decca (Navigator) for a couple of years from 1976. I remember that they had their own style of cable lacing, that would not loosen if the lacing cord snapped. The beginning and end were somethimg along the lines of round all the cables, then round one, then round them all again.

Sadly, I can't remember how to do it now, can anybody point me in the direction of how to do the (rather superior) Decca cable lacing, please.

I don't know the method you refer to specifically, but perhaps this document I have will jog your memory. Have you tried getting some cord and cables and seeing if your fingers remember?
