Looks like a PYE QAC2 (there are 2 versions so you will need check which it is)

https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/pye_qac2_2.html

So 1937

Just the usual pre war radio stuff crumbling wiring non recoverable electrolytics leaky caps and high value resistors.

Before you do anything else check the LS field coil mains and output transformers.

Cheers

Nice looking radio and in good condition.
If all the transformer windings check out with sensible continuity readings.
Reform or more probably replace the smoothing caps and change the .003uF audio coupling cap that connects to the grid of the OP valve.
Then its a matter of taking it stage by stage, checking voltages and so on.

Killed two birds with one stone.
Another tip find many years ago and I was never certain exactly which model it is.
I also have the radiogram version that I overhauled decades ago and it gives a good account of itself. Strangely I have never powered up this table model.

Pye rarely printed model numbers on the backs or internals of their products until around 1950.

Your example looks to be in nice condition and if the radiogram version is anything to go by, should be a straightforward restoration. Hope it turns out OK. John.

A very nice set, as John has said, should be a very straightforward restoration.
Nice to have the original guarantee card, odd that it was never filled in & returned to Pye.

Looks exactly like my Pye Q.AC2, circa 1937. No short wave band.

Very similar to my Q.AC38. Nice sound for quite a small radio.
