Accumulators . N O S can someone date them
I picked these accumulators up on my travels. They appear to be brand new and never used and in a bank of 3.
I will never use them as they were intended but I thought I would use them as a dummy display item for my Gents impulse clock system . Having them wired up looking the part but not doing anything. I wonder if anyone had any info on these . I’m more interested in dating them than anything else. Andy

If they are "dry charged" i.e. charged then dried out, a fill of acid may make them work. Proper garages often have a carboy of battery acid on hand. Date wise I guess just post war, see... https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Lithanode_Co I have a battery backup on my Magneta 37 clock system, 3 x 6V new style sealed lead acids, keeps it going (and the house clocks) for days.

I would guess late 1930s to early 50s. What a fantastic find,

Stylistically the label says '1929 or thereabouts' to me. Very nice, and probably rather scarce.

Distilled water came in them too. Packed in straw, with a rubber bulb to expel the contents. |

I still have a dry charged 6v motorbike battery on the shelf. From the eighties though potentially older.

This is what 190 Queenstown Road is now https://realla-media.freetls.fastly....1OT-dqVo7_l6wg
Definitely no longer a battery factory!

Ref #7, I have two dry charged M/C batteries from the '80s, and in the very near future, one, a 6v model, will get an acid fill and be fitted to my 1937 bike.
