A TV Restoration Challenge
Spotted this morning in the woods near Fairford, Gloucs. No chassis found nearby.
Can anyone identify the cabinet ... definitely dumped there a few years ago judging by the tree growing through it. Enjoy! best regards ... Stef |

It'll need a new tube too.

Re: A TV Restoration Challenge
My money (though not much) is on a Thorn 1500.
Be ironic if it turns out to be a Bush... |

It definitely looks like a Thorn 1500.

Re: A TV Restoration Challenge
I've seen Gerald Wells restore a radio set in worse condition than that, one that was dug up!

Re: A TV Restoration Challenge
I wondered about a 1500, side swinging chassis.

Re: A TV Restoration Challenge
Definitely a 24” 1500 and a later one at that, note the BEAB aerial socket. Looking at that groove around the front I would even take a guess at the model as being a Ferguson 3834.

Can't be done... well not legally. You'd get lynched for disturbing the bluebells.

I think even Shango would pass on that "resurrection"...
