Baird Original 30 Line Televisor Servicing & Set Up Data.
A friend gave me a copy of the original service and set-up data for the Baird 30-line televisor from the time they were in use, this is believed to be from circa 1929-31 era.
It was copied for me in full and I include all 11 pages of it here in 3 posts. If anyone wishes to make this in to a PDF which can then be made use of by anyone who wants the information please feel free to do so. Similarly please feel free to download and distribute this to any other collector/enthusiast, all I ask is that it is given freely and no charge is made for it. I hope this is of interest to others, and also, possibly, even helpful to anyone fortunate enough to have an original Baird Televisor. This is a fascinating insight in to those very early days of 30-line television. This is the first time I've seen this original data from the time. Here are pages 1-5. All the best, Peter. |

And there is page 11. That was hard going with dial-up!

I'd forgotten where I'd last seen this article but its come back to me now.
It's the series of magazines that make up Newnes' "Television Today" There is quite a lot of nice stuff from the early thirties in these two volumes including high definition and Scophony. http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/SearchResults?tn=television+today&sortby=3&sts=t&y =9&x=25&kn=newnes" Peter Last edited by peter_scott; 12th Jul 2007 at 7:25 pm. |
