Exclamation SONY 9-90UB hum (intercarrier buzz)

Hi
I have now located a set of knobs for this set, this just leaves the problem of hum on sound!
This happens when the camera changes shots so sound is OK, then a camera change starts the hum and then this goes off when the camera changes shots again.
I know nothing at all about transistor TVs - does anyone know what is causing this fault?

These again. I must be missing something with these - ah well....

This problem was common on valve sets too - ever worked on a Thorn 1400 ?, there were tons of mods for this. Now there's an open door for memories! Anyway, it's called Vision on Sound Buzz, and it's noticably annoying as a camera change will set it off or stop it.

The two diodes are D403 and D404. These come out of a variable coil thing. Give that a tweak.

Cheers,

Steve P

P.S. Getting to it is your problem....!
