Default Can't stay logged in.

A few days ago I had a need to delete cookies.
Since then, even though I tick the box to stay logged in, I have to log back in every time I re-start the program.
Is this a common problem? What am I missing, what do I need to do?
Hoping someone can help, Stuart.

Try ticking the "Remember Me" box when logging in. That normally solves issues like this.

If that doesn't help then there must be something with your browser, an add-in or some other software you use deleting cookies.

Before you use any cleaning or other housekeeping program you need to whitelist any cookies that you need, the forum ones for instance. They're not all bad!

Paul,
My browser is Microsoft Edge.
I have loged in using both boxes shown in the first picture, filling in the "remember me?" box.
From the Microsoft Edge menu, (the "..." in top right corner) I used the settings, privacy.. clear cookies.
When I look at settings, cookies_and_site_permissions, see_all_cookies_and_site_data, I get the details in the 2nd and 3rd picture.

I take your point that they are not all bad.
I have (inadvertently) found the "whitelist any cookies that I need".

Anyway, I would like to know how to get the appropriate cookie back.

All help appreciated.
Stuart.

Smile Re: Can't stay logged in.

Thank you for your help. I played with cookie settings in Microsoft Edge. I'm not sure which setting sorted it, but I was remembered when I restarted Edge and then this forum.
Thank you again for your help.
Stuart.

Just to let you know that I now understand what I have done to restore normal service. The same thing has sorted other sites remembering me. I wonder if I'll remember next time this happens.
Again, Thank you for your help.
