The free kit you get if you are near to Banbury is similar to below (lego-man not included!!) ..
Easy Wi-Fi connecting and re-programming and the wee box includes many sensors like vibration, sound etc. in the box... so there is tons
You can still follow the course if you are getting the kit yourself. They cost between £25 to £40 and you need a PC for initial connection to your Wi-Fi but coding can be done by 'drag and drop' from a web-page, (essentially plug and go... you don't have to install a full programming toolchain but you can edit the code as well if you prefer - very nice introduction to these kits.)

What an excellent and generous idea. The more people that start to learn real-world computing the better. I wish I was nearer Banbury, to participate or help.
I'm a huge fan of the "Shed" concept. For those less fortunate then me with space (and funds) at home, Sheds are an ideal place to meet like minded people and gain skills. (The "meeting" bit may have to wait a bit yet, of course).
Dave, I've got your stuff here to collect (in a covid-safe manner) when you are passing, and would like as well to donate a couple of digital multimeters to your Shed.

Yes, all welcome to listen-in... anyone can 'follow' the workshops.
There's a short Zoom this Sat 9am - link at top to register free on eventbrite.
...never stop learning
P.S. the last one was fun and the more the merrier!
