Default New Service Data products launching early December

I will be launching four new DVD-ROMs on www.service-data.com in the first week of December 2020:
  • Vintage Radio Service Data Volume 2
  • Vintage Monochrome Television Service Data
  • Vintage Colour Television Service Data
  • Valve and Transistor Data
The current "Vintage Radio Service Data" DVD-ROM will be renamed to "Vintage Radio Service Data Volume 1" with content unchanged. The current "Valve Data CD-ROM" is discontinued in favour of the new "Valve and Transistor Data DVD-ROM" which is much more comprehensive.

The pricing structure will be arranged so that the more you buy on the same order the cheaper they are per disk:
  • 1 DVD = £24.99
  • 2 DVDs = £44.99
  • 3 DVDs = £59.99
  • 4 DVDs = £69.99
  • 5 DVDs = £74.99
As you can see, all five DVD-ROMs purchased together is the same price as three purchased separately.

The DVD-ROMs will be supplied in clear plastic sleeves. Cased versions will no longer be available (they only accounted for a tiny proportion of sales anyway).

For those without DVD-ROM drives in their computers, various combinations will also be available on USB memory sticks for the same price as the relevant DVD-ROMs purchased together:
  • Vintage Radio Service Data + Valve and Transistor Data = £59.99
  • Vintage Television Service Data + Valve and Transistor Data = £59.99
  • Vintage Radio and Television Service Data + Valve and Transistor Data = £74.99
USB versions will be on good quality branded USB3 memory sticks such as Kingston or SanDisk. Because of the higher cost of the blanks compared to DVD-R disks (and the cost of the USB duplicator I purchased recently) it will not be possible to offer single DVD-ROMs in USB format.

All the new service data will also be added to the "Instant Downloads" section.

All existing customers will be emailed next week with a discount code that will allow them to purchase the additional DVD-ROMs with the same pricing as if they had ordered along with their existing one. There will also be a discount code for £15 off any USB stick.

There is a minor update to "Vintage Radio Service Data Volume 1 DVD-ROM", to resolve the Adobe Reader menu issues and to include a new HTML-based menu (which works in any modern browser with no additional software required). In addition several service manuals have been replaced with better quality copies. Existing owners of the DVD-ROM will be emailed with options for obtaining this update, either free on CD-ROM with any order or by free download.

To facilitate this major update, the current DVD-ROM is temporarily unavailable and the CD-ROM has been discontinued. However "Instant Downloads" are still available as usual. I apologise for any inconvenience.

I will post a further announcement when the products are launched.
