H Aerial - when were they produced?
Trying to date a post card and noticed there was a H aerial on one of the chimneys. No other aerials to be seen. No cars but a couple of trade vehicles in the distance, one looks like one of the old refuge vehicle, the dome type with the sliding tops. Just wondered when H aerials came in. Obviously post war as railings have been removed!

Re: H Aerial
'H' aerials were available before the war but were known then as 'Dipole and reflector'. Most 'H' aerials were installed post 1946. It would be easier to date the picture from the dust cart! Regards John.
