Crossover capacitors
I wonder if anyone could recommend a supplier of decent (non-audiophool) capacitors to replace those in a tired crossover? The speakers are Celestion Ditton 33s.
Thanks! |

Re: Crossover capacitors
If the originals are electrolytic, RS do Bi-Polar, presume that’s the same as non polarised for not much money.

Re: Crossover capacitors
I have used Alcaps from Falcon Acoustics on Kef & Castle speakers. They are just over a quid each and seem to work well.

Re: Crossover capacitors
Falcon Acoustics - I've used them before and they were great. Thanks for that.

Re: Crossover capacitors
Falcon have a great selection but their service can be very slow. I generally buy Visaton components from Impact Audio these days.

Re: Crossover capacitors
CPC have quite a range by LCR/Ampohm aimed at the audio market, and of course standard metallised polypropylene aimed at the industrial market (if you want cheaper).
