Re: Chard Auctions.
Sad to see that this is the late Alan Hall's (Skywave) treasure, but nice to know it's being auctioned off rather than skipped.
He looks to have been a very well-organised chap, not a hoarder of all kinds of random c***p (like I seem to have gradually become). This must be a blessing to those he left behind. Last edited by Nickthedentist; 5th Jul 2022 at 11:22 am. |

Re: Chard Auctions.
Lot 204 is described as RA117, but it has a toggle switch for the meter. The RA117 has a knob with three positions - it has a real S meter position. So this looks like an RA17
There's also a set of standard inductors to go with HP/Boonton Q meter. Treasure indeed. But also sad. David

Let's hope it all finds suitable buyers.

Re: Chard Auctions.
Always sad to see such disposals, but at least it should achieve realistic prices. Today at noon, I am attending the funeral of an amatueur who I have known 40 years.
Amongst his possessions there are a large amount of vintage components. Too soon to tell what his widow will do with it all. Dispersal auctions do seem more popular these days. Rob
