Managed to prise the dust cap from the speaker intact and noticed a big dirty hole in the voice coil obviously where it's been rubbing, Not sure why it's still working.

Stuck a hoover in the voice coil / pole piece, And so far so good, But time will tell,

Actually sounds ok considering it has more patches than a tramps trousers and more holes than St Andrews golf course.
