I have a video of a 'Jacob's Ladder) using a oil boiler spark transformer and two bits of copper mains cable that you could use as the interlude video!

No, run the jacob's ladder in the background while you're filming, it'll be a nice counterpoint to the big Tek scope showing a slowly rotating Lissajoux figure which is mandatory in all such video.
