Default Anglia TV leaflet 1959

I thought I'd share this which I found hidden within a pile of 60+ year's worth of utility bills when clearing out my late Grandmother's house.

The dealer stamp is for Pepper and Haywood in Royston, Hertfordshire. I believe they sold my Grandad the Ekco A22 I have in my collection.

Modern sources say that Anglia started on the 27th October, not the 29th. Anglia News celebrated their 60th anniversary last year with a few special items, including this....

....which features a nice interview with Wally Sparrow, who worked there at the start.

Hope it's of interest.

Ah, the days of two-channel TV. Here in the Midlands, ITV was provided by ATV weekdays and ABC-TV at weekends
