Hi Gezza 123
Yes it is a really fascinating story. It must have been really hard work to establish such a station in the light of how awkward the record companies, the BBC, the licensing authorities, and even Radio Luxembourg were, as both they and the BBC were controlled by four record companies. There was talent before the arrival of The Beatles, but not everyone got the promotion that was due to them.
I got sick of being told that Radio Caroline was illegal, and what happened was that the story got twisted around to suit the authorities.
Cheers
Mike

That's Radio Channel 292 and appears to be broadcasting Chinese propaganda at present. Unless I'm receiving another station on the same frequency?

https://www.channel292.de/schedule-6070-khz/

EDIT. I'm getting China Radio on 9675kHz, but nothing on 9670kHz.

Hi Station X
Well I am still listening to these stories on channel 9670 at signal 9. on my digital dx300 and s8 on my ar88d, I have just zero beated them both and are fine.

I get china radio on 9675. s9+

I thought the 292 was a german channel and Ireland/scotland receive via 6070kHz through 292

Thanks for your input. gezza123

This broadcast by Offshore Radio History is coming from Rohrbach Waal in Germany. You can book your own broadcast if you feel the need. Can't be cheap, I imagine this must be Heritage Lottery Funding, i.e. someone has won the lottery and wants to indulge his passion for the era of offshore broadcasting in the UK

On again now, in English and Dutch. They we're talking about Caroline and Radio Veronica. According to Short-wave.info the only broadcast on that frequency now is WEWN1, in Alabama with 250KW.

Hi Gezza. It sounds a really interesting channel to listen to. Both my brother & I were given the "third degree" by dad (now late) in the 1960's when we lived in Suffolk (not his fault), but his employers on a former "Secret site". This made me more determined to see Caroline legal, and of course it now is. I went to Felixstowe to see it happen in 2017, where there is a plaque for it.
Cheers
Mike
