Sony mains clock motor

Hi
I have a Sony mains clock motor which has an issue.it does not run
If I heat it with a hair dryer it then works for a short time and is noisy
I guess the grease had gone hard
I have drilled a hole and put some penatrating oil in with little improvement
The front seems to be sealed with glue
Is the next step to remove the glue and take it apart ( assuming it will ) ? Anyone know about these

I am not sure where you drilled the hole but I (and others) have had success by drilling one in the outer edge then filling it with switch cleaner. This got it running for me. After a while I shook the switch cleaner out and put as much sewing machine oil as I could. It ran quite noisily for a while and quietened down over a period of 24 hours.

It will twist and pull out of the magnet poles to make things a bit easier. I tried but never managed to get one apart.

After oiling via the hole it still did not run so to bits it is !
I had to lever the sides to get the mech out ( not a pretty sight )
I then cleaned and oiled it .
Still would not run . I found if I put the mech back in the case but not all the way in ( about 1 mm ) It would run !
Don’t know why this is but it’s working .
Still noisy but at least the numbers go round .
