Contempra SR 1002 dial mech assembly
I just finished cleaning and polishing up my Contempra SR 1002 and decided to clean the number pate behind the dial so stupidly took apart the finger dial and and metal finger stop etc and now can't for the life of me work out how it all goes back together very frustrated!!
Can't seem to find any photos or instructions of how to put the thing back together can anyone help or have pics or even instructions of how to do this? Many thanks! |

Re: Contempra SR 1002 dial mech assembly
Sorry I can't help, only to say that the dial on your phone
is very similar to the American Western Electric A220 Trimline Believe it or not, I once saw a rotary moving finger-stop miniature dial on an early cordless phone.

Try the 'telephone collectors international' site, in particular the 'library'.
I downloaded a file from there called AE 997-300-500 DIALS which has information and exploded diagrams for various American dials, including the one with the moving finger stop. |

https://www.telephonecollectors.info...procedure/file "Type 154A NOTE Because of the complexity of reassembly the Type 154A dial should not be disassembled any further." Yikes! The recommended cleaning regime includes Sodium Cyanide, double-yikes, don't know about the rest of you, but I'll stick with meths, IPA and the wife's nail varnish remover.
