Clockwork Turntable.
Hi.
Can anyone help with information on a clockwork turntable, it is marked 7A on the motor has a side winding handle and a Bakelite arm for the needle. It also has a cable out which I believe went to an external speaker amp that plugged into a light socket. The turntable case is home made, looking at the quality of the woodwork and the word Typhoo on the base panel. Thanks, Alan. |

Re: Clockwork Turntable.
Hello and welcome to the forums.
It would help if you could post some pictures of your turntable.

Re: Clockwork Turntable.
What specific information do you need Alan? What you have is the motor from a wind-up gramophone, probably a Garrard, with a later arm, in a home-made wooden box. If the cable comes out from the base of the arm, then it is intended to be plugged into the "gram" sockets of an old valve radio.
