Sony CVM-1850E
A bit of a long shot but does anyone have the schematic of the above model. I am particularly interested in the CRT type which I believe is a 470BEB22 and the similarity to the KV1800
I do know that I can buy the schematic for the US version (CVM1750) for $29. My interest is more than academic as I hope to have one of these beasts in the near future. Chris |

Hi,Simpsons, the crt shown in the manual for the CVM-1850UB is a 470FWB22B.I don't know the difference between the two however I do have a manual which I can let you have for £20 including post and packing. Please PM me if interested.Peter.

Re: Sony cvm1850e
Hi again,Simpsons, just realised that you are asking for the E suffix, which Ithink was the European model with different sound IF my info was based on the UB ie the British version.Hope my input is still of some benefit.Best regards,Peter.

Re: Sony CVM-1850E
Hi Peter
Thank you so much for the speedy response on the CRT type. Your input has saved me from making a fool of myself. The Radio Museum spec says: Monitor mit 47cm Bilddiagonale (90°-Ablenkung). Ah, good I thought. Same as my KV1800 which needs a new tube. The Sony 1820, of which I have one, is a 114 degree CRT. I did think that the channel change was not right but given the CVM1350 uses the original 13" 330AB22 which is 90 degrees, I had hoped I was on to something! Although I won't be buying this for the reason given, I/we now know who has a service manual! Thanks again Chris |

Re: Sony CVM-1850E
I should have explained that the 470FWB22B is also used in the Sony KV1820

Re: Sony CVM-1850E
Peter, I have such a bad instant recall for names that even after being introduced, I often default to the name PETER!
As for being called Simpsons "Am I bothered!!" Thanks again for saving my bacon. Chris |
