Technical experiment
I am writing an A-Z book on early British electronic music makers, and have a section for amateurs/tape club enthusiasts. I am looking for information in particular on anyone who was involved in experimental work with musique concrete or electronic music, in the period 1950s to the mid-1970s.
I'm wondering if anyone can help with any information, was involved themselves or recalls older relatives experimenting with tape recorders, electronics etc. I have a dozen names already, but only scratched the surface I suspect. I'm lacking a full list of the British amateur tape contest winners in the Technical Experiment or electronic music class. (Incidentally my book will be published Autumn 2014, so still plenty of time to add new entries and follow up leads if anyone can help.) |

Re: Technical experiment
It might be worth posting a similar message on the Sound On Sound forum (http://www.soundonsound.com/forum) and also contacting John Willett, formerly of Sennheiser who is currently involved in the modern equivalent of the British amateur tape contest.
