Default Diode ident?

I think this is marked as a diode in a Leak Troughline tuner: it doesn't seem to be very diode-like (according to a DVM test). Does anyone know the type /spec?

It's a little selenium rectifier STC M1 or an M3

There was thread about them a while back.

It looks like a selenium signal diode. I don't know anything about Troughlines though.

They can usually be replaced by an ordinary diode such as a OA81 or even an 1N1418.

Don't know what they are used for in the throughline for though.

Cheers
