Re: Ferranti chips
Hi John
This takes me back, The film was shot at the gem mill in Chadderton. I visited the factory back in the day when I was a technology teacher, I was given quite a few samples including the famous ZN 414 radio chips. They may have started one or two of my students interest into electronics. Of course I was not allowed into the clean areas, but found the early work they did on growing silicon crystals fascinating. I've still got some dice kicking around somewhere from the one visit I made to the mill. Regards Alan G7EQK |
