Default Are you making the most of the weather? Knob removal.

It just occurred to me while gingerly successfully removing a large perspex tuning knob, that this would be an ideal time. Less chance of it shattering compared to trying in sub zero temperature in the winter the we MAY get.

John.

I was thinking of sticking some old TV line output transformers on the shed roof to get them nice and toasty! Didn’t get round to it though…

Yes, I do use hot days to toast sets that I am in the process of restoring. The Ekco ACT96 that I'm presently working on was put out to sunbathe a couple of weeks ago on a couple of hot sunny days. The transformers were nice and warm and of course there's a nice airflow going on too.

Great for restoring plastic colour too i.e. via the Resto process! (But don't let it warp or over-heat ... it's the UV not the heat that you're looking for.)
