Rogers RD Junior CH1 smoothing choke

does anybody know the value of the RD Junior mono amp's choke? many thanks in advance Bruno |

If you mean this circuit, it's about 11 Henries. Remember that it only feeds HT to the ECC83 and a single valve in the pre-amp and valves in the tuner so it only needs to be a few tens of milliamps. If you intend to change the circuit and use the choke to feed the EL84s as well it will need a greater current capability.
There is a Japanese clone of the amplifier on the internet which uses a 30 Henry choke at 40 milliamps but that probably wouldn't fit inside the screening can. |

Sounds like the primary of a small class A output transformer would make a suitable choke.......
