HMV record deck screwdriver
Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get one of these screwdrivers for this screw?

Re: HMV record deck screwdriver
I'm sure there was a special type that fitted, but I would think rather rare! What's the spacing between the holes?
Just a thought, there are circlip pliers that have both horizontal & also vertical interchangeable jaws. ( Machine Mart have them). Or you could fairly easily make a 'special' that would fit, if you have metalworking facilities. David. The vertical type would probably fit. David. |

If you don't have circlip pliers, as suggested, have you tried a pair of fine nosed needle pliers? This should work if the screw has not been done up too tightly.

Re: HMV record deck screwdriver
It's from a 1947 HMV 1604,
I managed to unscrew using two jewellery screwdrivers, not ideal but it has to come out. The radio side works but the motor on the gram side needs attention..
