Am I wrong in sussing what machine you have, I'm sure our 389 was a dvd recorder with freeview, I see one or two points in this post suggesting it has a VHS recorder on it, I have some troubles now absorbing things. Thank you.

I have been thinking of the DRT389, different machine altogether. Apologies.

Oh dear. Sorry Tony for causing you angst.

It is indeed a dual DVD/VHS machine. Do you have happen to have a service manual on that? I can try to reset the NVRAM if there is a circuit diagram.

Hiya, let me find the UK equivalent. Please wait was an issue for a lot of LG gear. Once I can identify what it is we may be on a winner. Ta.

I found a flowchart for troubleshooting "hello" problem, but I didn't understand some terms as highlighted in the attachment.
