Braun H10 fan heater - how to open?
Hi everybody,
Just joined, first posting! I have a Braun H10 fan heater (picture attached) which I purchased in the 1980s. It was designed by Ludwig Littman under the design direction of Dieter Rams in 1983 and was manufactured in Spain. Although the unit's fan still works, the heating element has stopped working i.e the fan unit only blows cold air. It's a gorgeous looking unit and I would like to have a go at repairing it (I'm from an electronics background). The white part of the body is plastic and the black front section is metal. The only screws present on the body are 2 recessed screws underneath it. I have removed these 2 screws but cannot figure out how to open the unit up. I've tried searching high and low on the internet but cannot find anything to help. Is anybody familiar with this unit and how to open it? Many thanks in advance. bern Last edited by WillesdenBoy; 25th Sep 2021 at 6:17 pm. |

Re: Braun H10 fan heater - how to open?
Hi everybody,
Cracked it and unit is now open. There are 2 additional recessed screws which are not normally visible. These are located under the 2 rubber feet strips (which simply pull out). Therefore, 4 screws in total, 2 visible and 2 hidden (as described). Next step is to investigate the heater element not working. bern |

Well done and thanks for sharing.
Always worth looking under rubber feet, control knobs, labels etc. |
