"Vintage" Casio Calculator Batteries
Hi there...
I bought the calculator that the picture below relates to in the summer of 1980. It is a Casio fx-81 and has served me well, over the years, with these batteries. I have just changed them - the first and only set - after 32 years. Is this some kind of record? |

The fact that they haven't leaked might be........
Once calculators moved on to CMOS and LCD technology, the power consumption was negligible, so this kind of battery life is not unheard of.
