Weed control fabric as speaker cloth
Weed control fabric does not have the same aesthetics as proper speaker cloth. However, as I did not have any speaker cloth, I thought of trying some B&Q weed control fabric to cover the front of my DIY speakers. I wrapped a couple of layers around a cardboard sheet and stuck it to the front. I found that the acoustic properties are very good.

Two layers of that stuff have got to be reducing the higher frequencies. You may find that preferable.
