Default Philips N4308/55 Very Faint Playback Sound

Good evening all,

I have just finished replacing all belts and clutches etc but on playback the sound is very feint; can just about hear the tape paying (the tape is a good quality recording.

Where should I start tracing the fault.

Thank you.

Check rec- pb slide switch. Undo output transistors and driver from heat sink testing after each. Common problem.
