Revox A77 tape drive board
I am replacing the tape drive board after removing it for mods.
Is it only attached by the four screws at the front? If so, it sags noticeably at the rear due to the weight of the relays. |

Re: Revox A77 tape drive board
You are correct, it is held in by the front screws. The board sagging has never been a problem. The relays are not heavy.

Thanks Michael.

Re: Revox A77 tape drive board
I have not removed the Tape Drive Board before, I do plan to, in the fairly near future to replace a suspect transistor for inoperative EOT sensor circuit, so thought I would have a quick run through it.
Yes as you say when the 2 securing screws are loosened/removed (you said 4 ?) it sags down under its own weight because there is really nothing to hold/support it, maybe Revox should have engineered it better. |
