Default 7" x 5" oval speaker

Hi,

Can anyone help with a 7" by 5" oval speaker for a Grundig Satellit radio? One of the Grundig speakers that has the main driver and a small tweeter mounted over the main cone.

The exact dimensions are more like 6.75" by 4.5". It is for a 2400 model, but I reckon I could fit one from most of the Satellit models. The magnet has broken away from the one I have, destroying the voice coil in the process.

Many thanks,

Adrian.

I’m not sure what the situation is after the passing of Mr Birkett but I picked up an oval speaker for a Grundig tape recorder from there last year. I can’t be precise but I’d wager it was 7” x 5”. There were a number of them.

Thanks Terry. Just checked and apparently the shop is still being run. Will try phoning tomorrow. I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Birkett, but think I should visit this shop before it goes. Probably one of the last of a kind.
