Question Panasonic F55 Video Recorder - VU Meter Dimness

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is well. I have a Panasonic F55 VCR and the VU meter is quite bright but if it is on for quite a while it goes dim after about 20 minutes. If I turn it off again and put it on a little later it becomes bright again.

It is not all the Digits - For instance the left Channel audio on VU Audio Meter goes dim but not the right which remains bright. The first digit on the counter clock remains bright but the other 4 digits go dim.

I have changed most capacitors in the Power Supply/ PSU and even replaced PSU completely.

Anyone able to advise me on this?

Thanks.
