Default Toshiba Qosmio F10 - media center edition. Advice on sellling?

I've just retrieved this laptop from my cellar where it's been in storage for ~15 yrs

It's a Toshiba Qosmio F10 with windows XP "Media Center Edition"
( full specs )

Some photos of it here

It's complete with all leads, adapters, USB IR receiver the Windows-branded MCE remote control and even a Tosh Bluetooth SD card!

It has some minor faults (fan bearings noisy, sound only from left speaker) but boots OK.

It's design was quite novel at the time as it has built-in (analogue) TV tuner and a ROM-based media player mode so you can play CD/DVD or watch TV (or watch external S-Video source ISTR) without ever booting into windows.

I'm looking to get rid of it, but was looking for advice if it's best to keep it as a job-lot and sell it complete (maybe replace the fan/fix RH speaker?) with all accessories/leads or split it & sell for spares/repair?

I realise Windows MCE is dead, and analogue TV too so it's not got a lot going for it

Any (constructive) advice welcome

The machine might be a bit too 'new' to get much attention in this section, possibly try again in the 'Modern Technology' section which you will have access to once you get out through the other side of new user moderation - that's where the PC / Windows crew mostly hang out.

A niche / specialist machine like that is probably going to be of interest to someone for one reason or another - I maintain two ancient DOS PCs in working order just to keep my old chip programmer working (as its support software is DOS) - someone is bound to have some piece of hardware or software which they want to keep going which won't run on anything later than XP.

I don't see many people getting excited over it, to be honest, so your best hope of income from it lies with the widest audience, so I'd suggest one of the larger auction sites as your best bet.

This forum has a strict policy of stated, fixed prices up-front. It's to prevent things trying to become a rival to all the on-line auction sites. We want to remain a forum for help, advice and information. Buying and selling of gear is to remain very much an ancillary activity. The fixed price rule is a problem where things are of uncertain value, but on an open auction, what you get is definitively the market price.

Thanks for the replies.

For the avoidance of doubt I had no intention of breaking any forum rules or offering this for sale in this forum, or linking to any auction sites.

I'd only recently retrieved the laptop from storage and without any experience of this era of laptop repair/spares availability was naively looking for advice on whether to "break for parts" or "sell as whole" maybe even just "donate to recycler" - basically keep it out of landfill.

I don't see anyone getting excited over it either TBH
