Default Accumulators . N O S can someone date them

I picked these accumulators up on my travels. They appear to be brand new and never used and in a bank of 3.
I will never use them as they were intended but I thought I would use them as a dummy display item for my Gents impulse clock system . Having them wired up looking the part but not doing anything.
I wonder if anyone had any info on these . I’m more interested in dating them than anything else. Andy

If they are "dry charged" i.e. charged then dried out, a fill of acid may make them work. Proper garages often have a carboy of battery acid on hand. Date wise I guess just post war, see... https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Lithanode_Co I have a battery backup on my Magneta 37 clock system, 3 x 6V new style sealed lead acids, keeps it going (and the house clocks) for days.

I would guess late 1930s to early 50s. What a fantastic find,

Stylistically the label says '1929 or thereabouts' to me. Very nice, and probably rather scarce.

That takes me back!

Distilled water came in them too. Packed in straw, with a rubber bulb to expel the contents.

I still have a dry charged 6v motorbike battery on the shelf. From the eighties though potentially older.

This is what 190 Queenstown Road is now https://realla-media.freetls.fastly....1OT-dqVo7_l6wg

Definitely no longer a battery factory!

Ref #7, I have two dry charged M/C batteries from the '80s, and in the very near future, one, a 6v model, will get an acid fill and be fitted to my 1937 bike.
