Re: Ferguson506 / 506T
Sorry Des!
I don't have an actual 506T in my collection. I have a rare 516T with FM radio and the portable version, the 546T 'Flight'. The 506T is a smart looking set and is an easy one to get going.I will have another look in the service manuals. Regards, John. |

Here is a set that I used to own! Sorry about the zip file, but the original jpg's are too big for this forum.

Here is a scan of the sales leaflet covering the '500' series, including the 506.

Re: Ferguson506 / 506T
Hello again Des,
I pulled the 516T out of the 'museum' this morning and took a few pics for you. I dragged the set from the tip about 6 years ago and what you see is what you get. It needs lining up a bit but has not been touched! It worked exactly as you see it including incredible FM performance. I have examined the chassis and cannot find a single component that has been replaced. A very interesting model is the full fringe model 505T. This is hand wired and looks identical to the 506T. It can be identified by its 'push to release sync' line hold control. The portable 546T was a very popular set. |
