Default Ekcovision 12''

This set is a puzzle.
The Trader sheet 1007/T16 shows the external apperance of this set. The chassis layout is as sheet 980/T9.
It has a tired CRM121b and gives a picture in a darkened room.
It is a straight set but tuned to channel 2?
Have a look at the picture taken on Tuesday night (Life on Mars)

I HATE working on this set. You really want to take the tube out and put the chassis on the bench upside down but then you cant easily run it.
This tube gives me the creeps. Thin glass and a not too clever mounting, you dont want to go near it!

Well done on this set! Yes, the CRT does look nasty. I'd be inclined to wear goggles just having the back off the set personally!

Cheers,
Brian

This set looks like an Ekco T141 which is a superhet version of the TS88 chassis. That may explain why its tuned to channel 2. They are a great set but very difficult to work on due to the crt mountings or rather lack of them.
