Default Bulgin Sockets/ Plugs Sizes

I was surprised the other day to find a larger than normal "large" white Bulgin socket.

I thought they only came in 2 sizes not 3 ??

Thank you.

No, the very large size was not uncommon in the forties and early fifties, it was used on Gaumont Kalee equipment for instance, though I have never seen one in white.

Thank you for that, I wondered what they were used for.
