Default Vintage Radio and Electronics

Looking at this very useful site 2 days ago I noticed that after a short time it became unavailable “server cannot be found”. I’ve written to Maurice the owner but this site has not been updated for a long time so I fear the worst!

Typical, it went before I could download the gen on the Codar Mini Clipper! I’m left with the front page on the Clipper but cannot access the visible data.

Hi.

No luck here either.

I was wondering if that was one of the Yahoo groups run my Maurice Woodhead which originally started back in the early 2000s.

Regards,
Symo

Edit: Just noticed wd40addict's link to the wayback machine and noticed it was the site run by Maurice

Sadly my email to Maurice was rejected:

30 Sorry, your message to mauricewoodhead@xxxxx cannot be delivered. This mailbox is disabled (554.30).

Sorry, I don’t know where he lives(ed).

Thanks very much Mick for your information from the site on the Mini Clipper, just what I wanted!

The site was a useful one and I have looked at it many times over the years.

A sign of the times…..

Peter

That's a shame that the site seems to have gone. I was originally a member of Maurice's site and the other associated radioconstructors sites run by Geoff Brown. I used to upload radio circuits to the groups mostly from the RC and PW magazines. Hard to believe that was started over twenty years ago, how time flies! It was a pity the Yahoo groups ceased.

Nick, sorry, I don't know where Maurice lives but ought to as I think I sent him a component or two. It was a long time back so my memory may be playing tricks.

Regards,
Symon

The domain registration still seems to be extant; however it doesn't seem to have anything associated with it.
