Repairing a back Pye radio.
I have a Pye 178A with a damaged back. Is there a thread in the subject here?
Any advice would be welcome in making one. I have tried eco stick before but it hasn’t lasted.I don’t suppose anyone has a spare. |

Re: Repairing a back Pye radio.
This is an age old problem, no pun intended.
As the back is fibreboard, how about making a thin wooden splint to secure the broken pieces. They can be glued behind the back using wood glue and so out of sight. Chris |

I might have one on a scrap chassis. Would you like me to have a look?

Yes. Have you got the cabinet too? Mine is damaged on one corner.

Remains are of a Pye P178. I’ll have a look for you. I’m scrapping the chassis anyway( it does work, ( as the basis for a mucking about amplifier)but the case is smashed to pieces.

Re: Repairing a back Pye radio.
Hi Pete. Just had a look in the box containing the remains of the P178, but alas no back. Sorry.
