Default Screwfix VDE Screwdriver Set

Hi all,

Was looking for a set of VDE screwdrivers for occasional use, found these at Screwfix :-

https://www.screwfix.com/p/magnusson...t-12-pcs/611jj

Currently on offer for £9.99 so less than £1 per driver! Magnusson brand which I think is Screwfix/B&Q own brand, pretty decent quality especially considering the price.

They're looking like that they're becoming a popular brand at Screwfix. That's a very good price for a well equipped set of VDE screwdrivers.

For anyone who might wish to know what the testing and certification regime of 'VDE' certified tools is, you'll find it here:

Hope that's of interest.

Strangely, Screwfix appear to have upped the price to £15.99 for this set.....

I was faced with that £16 price too, but when I went into Screwfix and asked them to check the price they confirmed £9.99. I think they just haven't got their online/instore prices revised yet. Anyway, I got mine a week ago instore for £9.99.

Could anyone confirm the sizes and types as it appears from the picture that only two of the nine are flat blades!

The 611JJ set has 4 flat-bladed screwdrivers - 2.5. 3.5, 4 and 5.5 mm. Pity there's quite a gap between 4mm and 5,5mm.

When I brought my set over a week ago from Screwfix, the online price showing was £9.99, which is what I paid.

From Post 1 the OP said they were on offer (although at the time I saw nothing stating this on the Screwfix website), so maybe they are no longer on offer at that price, hence the £15.99 price now showing.
