schnider 65 radio: how to connect aux
Hello
I've received a Schinder 65 radio. Since it doesn't have an FM radio, I cant really listen to anything on it. I'm looking into connecting my phone with a 3.5 jack and I've read some threads here about PU jack and banna/wander plugs. But I'm still not sure which size of plugs I need. I aslo see a tape jack in in back. Maybe I can use it? Any help will be appreciated Thanks |

Do you mean Schneider?
I don't know this radio, but if the sockets have 3 small holes they will be DIN: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIN_connector If they have a single large hole they will probably be 4mm banana connectors: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana_connector Wander plugs are an eighth of an inch in diameter (about 3mm) and were not generally used outside Britain. |

Re: schnider 65 radio: how to connect aux
Assuming it's mono and has two 4mm banana plug sockets, this is how I do it (see pics)
Two 4mm plugs to one female 3.5 mm stereo socket. Signal L and R are summed using 2 resistors. The value isn't critical - anything between 220 and 1k will do. I like 330ohms which works well with my phone or a small Bluetooth receiver KR Gabriel |
