Japan is still not the most likely country of origin as the transistors seem to be the only Japanese parts we were able to identify so far. Hong Kong and Taiwan seem the most reasonable guesses at this point.

It seems there's indeed 2 dates on the print which seem plausible given the model: 160373 and 031272. This would make Japanese origin very, very unlikely, as in both the Western and the Japanese date system they would write YYMMDD.

The number 2002 that is next to the dates on the PCB is probably a reference to the OEM model or chassis.

Maybe before Hong Kong manufacturers mostly used typical Hong Kong transistors, they did indeed use Japanese transistors. That would make sense.

It looks like the needle in the haystack, but Far-East for the maker looks very probable...
