yet another A823.
Hi all. hopefully someone can point me in the direction of the fault with this set. basically when the contrast is turned down the picture starts to pull to the left and roll. also the colour seems to increase just before the picture disappears. and then the sound also vanishes leaving what i would call a motorboating sound. again hoping its something simple,any help is much appreciated..cheers neil.

I'm no expert but it could be
the preset IF gain needs setting up properly it does have some unexpected affects if set to low Rich |

Just dug the manual out it says
"Pre-set IF gain. Set the brightness and contrast controls to minimum and adjust the pre-set IF gain control fully clockwise, then retard it to a just perceptible picture. Readjust the brightness and contrast controls to their normal operating positions" Rich |
