Default HMV 904 Television.

Good Morning ,
Thank You for letting Me join.
I own a HMV 904 Television/Radio, I have had it for 30 plus years.
It has been in the Family since New I believe, as My Mother remembers it as a Child. I know nothing about It, I think its a pre-war.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Pictures and a serial number would be useful.

Hi Shelley4,
The HMV 904 is a lovely set. Not a great set for viewing, but nice to look at.
The 5" and 7" EMI sets had quite a limited bandwidth, which is better for the 5" sets like yours, but on the 7" sets the pictures don't look very sharp. Then again they were quite advanced for their time, being very compact.

I have the slightly larger HMV 905 and had quite a task restoring it, but then again most of its innards had been removed. You can read about it here:-

If you need any help with it, don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers
Andy

Hello Shelley. What state of repair is your set in? Has it had any restoration work done?

This isn’t the same set that was posted on the U.K. vintage television collectors page was it?
