What hi-fi - television combo is this?
Looks to be late 60's early 70's, possibly a bespoke cabinet with various electronics fitted in.
Any ideas? Cheers Brock |

I'm probably wrong, but something about it says 'Heathkit' to me.

The Reel tape deck looks like a Reflectograph.
If so its late 50s early 60s. Only a guess though. Peter W........ Reelguy |

Unit looks like homebuilt cabinet. Definately an English reel deck as I have two recorders with the same deck and one is a Reflectograph. The other one has the same reel deck but with Millbank { Studio Mixer people} electronics.
It used to be the thing to build all your Hi Fi gear into a cabinet to make it look tidy etc. { And to keep the wife happy } The receiver certainly looks like a Heathkit as Dseymo 1 { ?} says. peter W............. Reelguy |

I would date it mid to v late sixties . wouldnt want to get that up the stairs
i presume its in units . Quite nice and intersting . cant imagine any surviving the last 40 years despite being very expensive by the look of it . the cabinet looks expensive too . i wonder if the tv is colour . Is it American , seams more likely ? |

For an American version, here's a beastie from a top notch regional maker, Curtis Mathes. They built their own cabinets, audio, and B&W televisions. The term "color convertible" meant the BW chassis could be slid out and a contract built Zenith color chassis put in it's place when color broadcasting became available in your area. Pretty slick, eh? Dates from '62- '63. Brock |

I doesn't have a UK look about it, and look at the one-piece stand up telephone. It looks similar to the Scandinavian Ericaphone
