Default PEN 45 Amplifier.

next project....
So the question is what are the rectifier and other valve options keeping to the Mazda Octal Base. or at least Mazda theme & 4v heaters
output will be PEN44
SP41 springs to mind? and could use as triode or pentode. what rectifiers were there? were there any triodes or diode triode combinations?

UU8 is quite meaty. It'll both last longer and look better without the metallising....

I have an Ambassador PA amplifier which uses PEN45's in push pull. Recifier is a UU6 - the pre amp and phase splitter are AC/HL's but I wouldn't recommend trying to get hold of those!

I remember my first simple audio amp was a UU8 + PEN46 combination, drove my parents wild testing with the same record (78rpm of course).

HL41 is a MO triode. Not that common but the HL41DD could be used.
